1.2.2007      Besides drawings of cockpits, hospitals and kitchens by Thomas Müllenbach, Kunsthaus Zürich also shows his new series ‘Nuclear Power Stations’.    From 2 February until 22 April 2007 Kunsthaus Zürich is showing ‘Thomas Müllenbach. Graphite – The Large Drawings’. The Kunsthaus is the first museum to bring together the most recent, very large-scale graphite drawings by Müllenbach. Made between 1999 and 2006, these drawings depict the technical accoutrements of modern life – from kitchen fittings to the equipment in an operating theater to the navigation instruments in the cockpit of a MD-11 and the operations room of the nuclear power station of Chernobyl. 28.1.2007      Joëlle Flumet with Andreas Kressig & Thierry Kuntzig at the Centre pour l'image contemporaine, Geneva    For the first time, Joëlle Flumet will be working with Andreas Kressig. The two artists have proposed an on-site intervention on the second floor of the Center for the Contemporary Image. Their collaboration, which involves a series of drawings by Flumet and a series of animations based on the drawings by Kressig, is meant to play with the venue’s architecture and its possibilities. 26.1.2007      ERNST LUDWIG KIRCHNER ARCHIV : RESTITUTIONEN SPEZIELL UND ALLGEMEIN    Bisher sah die Öffentlichkeit bei der Rückgabe von Kulturgut insbesondere aus früherem jüdischen Besitz nur die „Spitze des Eisberges“ und die Frage nach letztlicher Verantwortung wurde nicht gestellt. Nach eingehenden Recherchen des Ernst-Ludwig-Kirchner-Archives, Bern/Wichtrach, ist eindeutig: Die Rückgabe der „Berliner Strassenszene“ von Ernst Ludwig Kirchner war rechtlich nicht notwendig. Das auf diesen Recherchen basierende Gutachten von Rechtsanwältin Juliane Huth, Hamburg, weist aber über diesen speziellen Fall hinaus.
